After 2003 Kreischberg will again be the resort to host the snowboard world championships and this time (2015) the freestyle skiing world championships will also take place there – a first as for the world championships of two sports to be hosted same time and place.

Already in 2012 the first ever Winter Youth Olympic Games will be held in Innsbruck, Austria.

Unfortunately as for the 2014 Olympic Winter Games Salzburg lost to Sochi :)
